The time has come to admit to myself that I’m not going to put little “Lightning McQueen” back on the road (our name for the little car). He’s been safely tucked away undercover in the garage since he was SORN’d in 2019. He’s been well loved since we bought him in 2015. My husband’s a keen amateur mechanic and has made sure Lightning got the best quality parts when replaced. He was well maintained while on the road and has been an ornament, undercover in the garage, for years now. It’s time to let someone else have fun with this little nearly-classic car.

The body work’s great for the age – a few paint flecks and small body work imperfections. The emissions were running high on the last MOT so I imagine this will need work. The battery was replaced by us but it has been sitting in the garage for so long, it may just need a good run to charge up again. The battery started the instant we jumped it, in order to get it out of the garage and into the driveway to sell it. It is perfectly capable to be driven away although perhaps not advisable since it has no tax or MOT.
