2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA 200d AMG Sport Line Automatic Coupe / Saloon Diesel 2.1L

Purchased by myself in May 2019 with 18k miles  – 2 previous registered keepers. 1^st Registered / bought new from Mercedes Benz of Bristol on 22^nd June 2016. Registration is WX16 KUT – It was on a private Reg but this has been removed prior to sale.

Only reason for sale is that baby no.2 is in the pipeline and with prams, child seats etc the wife wants a bigger car and it will be replaced with a family people carrier type of car. It’s been a pleasure to own and my pride and joy for the past 3 & ½ years – I’ve always looked after my cars over the years and I know it inside and out. really does look stunning with the Factory Night Package and AMG Sport styling. Personally it has one of the the best rear lights of any car I’ve ever seen!

I’ll not list the full long Spec but please ask if you would like to know anything in particular. Has the usual things like Dual zone climate control, LED daytime running lights, xenon auto lights, LED Rear lights, auto wipers, electric adjustable mirrors, Drive Select (comfort, sport, individual, eco mode)

General condition & running

Outside – Paintwork is in good condition & is regularly waxed and polished. It had a clay bar last year before the winter with wax & polish to protect paintwork. There’s just general age related marks, if being fussy there’s a very light thin line on the rear bumper about 3inches long which is hardly noticeable (it was there when I bought the car) maybe a car park related mark?

Inside – The car is in very good condition showing no signs of wear and only very small marks from general use. The ‘Leather’ and ‘Alcantara’ type material is in very good condition and have been looked after. Air Con works fine and blows nice and cold – everything works as it should

Wheels / Tyres – All 4 Tyres are premium Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s – Front x2 are Brand New just a few weeks ago costing £210 – 8mm Treat. The Rears have 5mm tread

No major curbing to the wheels, however like all Diamond Cut alloys the lacquer has started to go on the edges. I was going to get them refurbished before sale but everyone’s taste is different on the new paint finish – so I thought I would leave this to the new owner to decide on and this of course can be negotiated a little in the sale price.

Mechanically –  The car is completely stock and has not been messed around with or modified in any way. It’s never let me down mechanically. The only part I have ever needed to replace (apart from serviceable items) was last week, the exhaust flap actuator required replacing – This was carried out at Wearside Mercedes Benz Specialist (WMB) costing £570

The car is a lovely smooth motorway driver being a 2.1L Mercedes diesel. It pulls strong and the 7 gear automatic gearbox is nice and responsive and as above been serviced at 5 years old as per Mercedes-Benz service specifications. Obviously only having 45K on the clock mileage is a big bonus. Most diesels of this age have almost double the mileage.  

Probably not worth mentioning some of the above (most people wouldn’t) but like I said, I don’t understand people who buy / sell a car with only 7 or 8 lines in the description & I’m 100% honest in my descriptions.

Paperwork / History

As you can see in the photo I keep every single receipt and all paperwork for the car so it has excellent history

If you are doing any checks the car was on a Private Reg but has now been returned  returned to its original Reg WX16 KUT.

Car is free of any finance

Log book/ V5 is in my name and registered at my home address

1 Key and a spare key that only opens the door & original owners manual / paperwork etc from new

Previous CAT S in Spring 2019 – I have all the photo’s prior to repair, purchase of the vehicle and during the repair itself. I purchase the car as damaged in May 2019 with 18k miles and had the car professionally repaired at a Motorbody Repair Shop in South Shields. I have the receipts as proof along with all the photos. The car passed it’s 1^st MOT straight away once repair was completed. Two days later we drove a 600 mile round drip down to Felixstowe on the south coast to visit family with no issues. Damage wise, it took a knock  across the front bumper from the drivers side corner. There was no airbag or suspension damage and the car has been faultless ever since the repair for the past 3 ½ years+.

Viewing & Test Drive

Viewing is at my home, the cars registered address. Photos were taken at a local industrial park as my street isn’t the best for getting good all round photos of the car.

Accompanied test drives. Only upon seeing proof that you are insured fully comp to drive another vehicle will test drives be allowed. If you do not have such insurance cover I am more than happy to take you on a drive anywhere of your choice

£14,450 ono – Please don’t send any silly offers, they wont be entertained – the car is priced at current market rate if you look at similar cars with same sort of spec and mileage on auto trader or ebay with stated Cat S / N. There is a few cheaper but they have a lot higher mileage than mine, double or even triple the miles! The car has excellent documented history – much more than most cars and has been well looked after, maintained and serviced. 

Payment

Payment via Bank Transfer is preferred – The car will only be released once fund have appeared / cleared in my bank account.

Cash is also accepted, but only during the banks opening hours. You are welcome to accompany me into town (5/10 mins away) to pay this straight into the bank. Only once accepted by the bank / paid in and showing in my account will the car be released.

Full receipt will be provided and V5 sent straight off to DVLA to notify change of owner
